Nashville recording artist Brenda Best just releases a brand-new Holiday 5-song EP/album titled “Merry Magical Memories”. Four songs evoke joy and happiness and stir up your holiday spirit, but she also wrote a holiday heartbreak song because sometimes Christmas is sad for some people. She says: “I once experienced a solo holiday season, so I captured that in “DON’T BREAK TRADITION”. It has a cool vibe with instruments similar to recordings like Roy Orbison’s 1960s melancholy style”.
The album’s title track “Merry Magical Memories” is a beautiful love song to warm the soul and feels like it belongs in a Christmas movie soundtrack, in which Brenda co-wrote with film & movie award-winner Corey Lee Barker whose songs have been part of several movies & tv shows such as Y&R, Smallville, The Holiday Exchange 2024 movie and many other Hallmark Christmas movies.
You won’t be disappointed with the excitable upbeat track “Sounds Of My Season” and “Hey There December” for a jazzier sound delivering Brenda’s beautiful contralto, with a deep, velvety quality.
Included on the album is a French song “Ensemble Pour Noël” in which she translated from her 2023 single “Make Christmas Last Forever” which was a winner for Holiday Song of The Year at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards 2024 held at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee.
